First 5 clients at i-hub are rewarded–Nery

LAOAG CITY — The provincial government of Ilocos Norte launched a “promo” program to attract the youth to visit the library and its fully air-conditioned I-hub center at the Centennial Arena on SIRIB mile university belt here. Dubbed as “Magbasa, Mag-Internet at Manalo,” the new program, started last February, will give free reading materials and other surprise gifts to the first five clients of the month engaging in Internet browsing. Matilde Nery, chief of the I-hub and officer-in-charge of the education department of the capitol, said the first five clients, who are registered readers in the library, are also given the same prizes. The I-hub has eight service areas. Records showed that the most visited section is the Internet and multimedia section with an average of 765 users a month. (Freddie G. Lazaro)
