LAOAG CITY–A night blaze razed the two-story house in Brgy. Nangalisan, this city on All Saints Day, Nov. 1, BFP officials said.
Alberto Villena and members of his family were all safe after they managed to escape from their burning house at 11:15 pm before responding firemen arrived at the scene.
Neighbors said they first saw a billowing smoke coming from the house ground floor. They quickly destroyed the padlocked gate and roused the occupants from their sleep.
The rescuers also saved two motor vehicles parked at the garage of the burning house. Cause of the fire and cost of damages were sill undetermined. (theo s. guiang/w/ report from rr-dzjc)
