SARRAT, Ilocos Norte, Feb. 6–A former army soldier allegedly hacked and wounded his neighbor Angel Quising of Brgy. San Antonio, this town last Saturday afternoon, police said.
Initial investigation showed that the victim went to his neighbor’s house to pacify the drunk suspect who was quarreling with his live-in partner at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
While the victim was leaving after the two cooled off, the suspect suddenly grabbed an 18-inch bolo and hacked the victim hitting him on the head and face.
The suspect had expressed remorse for his offense as he asked forgiveness but the victim said he had decided to file frustrated murder charges against his attacker.
