Drug war in PRO-1 is back under C/S Collado

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, San Fernando, La Union – After a month lull war, the Police Regional Office -1 (PRO-1) under the leadership of the newly installed Acting Regional Director , Police Chief Superintendent Charlo C. Collado is back in the battle ground but this time it’s as kinder and gentler campaign.

The PRO-1 Project Double Barrel reloaded with a big bang, highlighted one day ‘ONE TIME BIG TIME’ Operations of Region 1 police in the four provinces in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), during an event held here Thursday, March 9, 2017.

After a careful selection of personnel by Police Regional Office-1 for a drug enforcement team for the launching of illegal drugs operations, PRO-1 gained initial success resulting in the confiscation of suspected shabu valued at P120,000, 21 firearms, and arrest of 44 persons during the simultaneous conduct of police operations in the four provinces of Region 1.

On Anti-illegal logging and Anti-illegal gambling drive, illegally cut logs were also seized with the arrest of 13 persons and confiscated P520 bet money with the arrest of 8 persons.

“Region 1 police is back in a battle against drugs. These accomplishments are proof of the PRO-1’s continuous and serious commitment to prevent these suspects to carry on their illegal activities and all the 65 arrested persons and confiscated items are now under the custody of respective Police Stations for proper disposition and proper filing of cases.
