Congressman son’s car bumps motorcycle w/ no tail light

STO. DOMINGO, Ilocos Sur, MARCH 30– A farmer perished when a Toyota Innova car driven by a congressman’s son from Ilocos Norte allegedly bumped his motorcycle with no tail light during an accident that occurred at Brgy Parada, this town on Monday night, a belated police report said.

Police identified the fatality as Darwin Ramos, resident of same place. The accident happened while he was on his way home southward aboard his motorcycle after visiting his wife who newly gave birth to their child in the hospital.

Investigators said his motorcycle’s rear was hit by the car. Due to the impact, he was thrown out and landed on the pavement.

He died on the spot due to severe head injuries.

The solon’s son gave himself up to the nearest police station. He claimed the victim’s motorcycle had no tail light making it poorly visible to night drivers.

Police said the congressman’s relatives had initially aided the victim’s bereaved family pending further amicable settlement of the incident.(tsg w/ br report)
