SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, June 27—Conrado Asuncion Tomas, 52, bachelor, of Brgy. 20 of this town was found dead in sitting position while attending a wake of a deceased barangay mate.
Police report said the victim went to the wake under the influence of liquor . He sat in a chair and slept in one corner. At early dawn, a certain Rody Valdez tried to wake him up but he was no longer breathing.
Municipal health officer Dr. Lionel Obien theorized the victim died of stroke due to drunkenness .(tsg/tc)
