LAOAG CITY, Oct. 26–Believe it or not, a SWAT car parked in front of the police HQ here started engine by itself and moved backward into the middle of the road. Witnesses were terrified. No driver was seen inside the car. Cops could not explain this mystery. Last week, SPO4 Edwin Aquino was found dead inside the PNP HQ. His head bore a bullet wound.

PAOAY, Ilocos Norte, Oct. 25–A suspected hired killer waylaid the Bungcayao family members aboard a tricycle on their way home to Brgy. Nagbacalan here. Cops said Edgar was killed while his sister Edna and their driver Alex were wounded. Edgar’s brother Ramil and mother Isabel, co-riders in the tricycle, emerged unhurt.

LAOAG CITY, Oct. 27–The police assistance center in front of the city central school was demolished. However, a new all-glass police assistance center as replacement, similar to that of Baguio, will be constructed within the same compound, said police chief P/S Sterling Blanco.
