Gov. Imee appeals for ‘Solid North’ support for Sen. Bongbong’s VP bid

Ilocos Norte Governor Imee R. Marcos appealed today, October 16, 2015 for a ‘Solid North’ support to her brother, Senator Bongbong Marcos on his vice presidential bid in the upcoming 2016 polls.

In her message after a mass held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Batac City, Ilocos Norte which was attended by the members and supporters of the Marcos family, Gov. Imee expressed her optimism of having the full support of the Ilocanos.

She also said that Sen. Bongbong has a strong chance of winning the race because the votes from the ‘Solid North’ composed of Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will definitely go for him.

She also expressed her confidence that Marcos loyalists from a big portion in Metro Manila and Eastern Visayas where her mother, Congresswoman Imelda Marcos, hails will continue supporting their endeavors.

“We pray for your blessing, benediction and support and your unfailing affection for my family and we thank you for the pride and the honor of serving you throughout the decades,” Gov. Imee concluded.
