BURGOS, Ilocos Norte (April 17) – Three persons, including the driver were injured, when the van they were riding fell off a 10-foot deep cliff on the national highway in Brgy. Ablan this town.
Initial investigation shows that the van’s windshield was hit by three falling softdrinks cases from a passing delivery truck causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The driver sustained cuts in his face due to broken glass from the van’s windshield as well as from the softdrink bottles.
The driver’s companions were later identified as a vacationing Canadian national and his Filipina fiancée.
