1st ever oneSTore hub set in Ilocos

The first ever oneSTore hub will be set in Ilocos region as the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 1 has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Juliet Commercials, a private entity in San Fernando City.

The hub will serve as a consolidator of products from DOST-assisted Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Thru the oneSTore platform, an e-commerce web application that operates nationwide and caters primarily to Philippine consumers, the transactions of customers’ order will be accessible 24/7 bringing the items to their doorstep.

Dr. Armando Q. Ganal, DOST 1 Regional Director said the establishment of the hub will serve as a significant step towards the realization of the oneSTore goal to provide competent, responsive and an effortless shopping experience to every customer.

Under the MOA, Juliet Commercials agreed to engage in e-Commerce, manage the oneSTore account, accept and consolidate products endorsed by DOST, transact business with official courier companies and recognize DOST in any partnership it engages with.

The DOST provides access and account of the oneSTore to the hub for free, give technical assistance to the oneSTore hub, conduct orientations and trainings for the hub and MSMEs on the use of said online platform, promote oneSTore and the hub to any activities related to transacting business, among others.

The MOA was signed by Dr. Ganal, Anacleto M. Zamoranos, manager of Juliet Commercials; Ms. Raquel M. Espiritu, Provincial Director of DOST La Union and Mr. Jess Melvin C. Zamoranos, IT specialist of Juliet Commercials on March 7, 2016 at the Audio-Visual Room of DOST 1.
