Ignacio firm in his fight vs. Imelda

LAOAG CITY (Oct. 19) – Lawyer Ferdinand Ignacio, former  president of Integrated Bar of the Philippines local chapter, debunked reports that he’ll soon withdraw his candidacy for the 2nd district representative post of the province.

He said his decision to fight re-electionist Congresswoman Imelda Marcos is firm noting that many people wanted to see a younger breed who will represent them in Congress.

He said that he is very much qualified to run as Congressman of the 2nddistrict and nobody could influence him to back out.

Ignacio, who hails from Paoay, Ilocos Norte, lost  in his previous bid for provincial board member in the last local elections.

Two San Nicolanians Arlene Butay and ex-mediaman Lorenzo “Enzo” Madamba also joined Ignacio in the poll’s bid against Rep. Marcos.(Theo S. Guiang)
