Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos turns over computer units and other IT equipment to the municipalities of San Nicolas and Piddig, model sites for the implementation of the Revenue Generation and Land Administration Reforms (REGALA) Project. The simple turnover ceremony was held last August 31, 2012 at the Ilocos Norte Capitol where Mayor Eddie Guillen of Piddig and Mayor Alfredo Valdez, Jr. of San Nicolas personally received the equipment. The project will computerize all land information, transactions regarding real properties, and speed up inter-agency collaboration. It expects to increase revenue collection by 50% .
