CSC RO1 recognizes DOST 1 for passing the 4 Systems of Prime-HRM Maturity Level II

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Oct 26 (DOST 1) – The Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST 1) has been relentless in advancing its human resource management by intensifying its systems, particularly in Recruitment, Selection and Promotion (RSP), Learning and Development (L&D), Rewards and Recognition (R&R), and Performance Management (PM).

As a testament to this commitment, DOST 1 has been recognized by the Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 1 (CSC RO1) for meeting the standards/indicators for the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) Maturity Level 2 in all systems – RSP, L&D, R&R, and PM – based on validated self-assessment and evidence requirements. The recognition was held last October 26, 2020, at the DOST 1 Regional Office.

Present during the awarding are DOST staff headed by Dr. Armando Q. Ganal, DOST 1 Regional Director; Atty. Jasmin C. Banez, Assistant Regional Director for Finance and Administrative Services and HRMO Designate; and Dr. Ismael D. Gurtiza, Assistant Regional Director for Field Operations.
The recognition was awarded by the Civil Service Commission headed by Director IV Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal, Regional Director; Director III Josephine R. Altura, Assistant Regional Director; andWalfredo C. Laudencia, Supervising Human Resource Specialist.

The Human Resource staff of DOST 1, Mr. Enrique G. Fernandez and Ms. Maureen Heidi L. Perez, were also awarded for their commendable efforts in the DOST 1’s compliance with PRIME-HRM requirements.

The Early Bird Award was also awarded to Ms. Nida P. Claveron for being the first one in submitting her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth (SALN), and Personal Data Sheet (PDS) for the CY 2020.

PRIME-HRM is a system that supports government agencies through the advancement of human resource management competencies, systems, and practices. This mechanism pushes government officials and employees to render efficient and effective delivery of services.

During the event, DOST 1 and CSC RO1 have expressed support for each other’s endeavors and have geared for partnership to improve and develop current systems, especially in delivering S&T interventions in the country.
With this recognition, DOST 1 shall foster good governance through excellent human resource management for a more empowered and intensified delivery of S&T interventions. (Margaux Q. Dolores)
