3 more travelers arrested for using fake antigen result

BADOC, Ilocos Norte, Jan. 8, 2021–Lawmen arrested three more travelers for using alleged fake antigen test results, an offense repeatedly committed here since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Police said the three were intercepted at the southern border control checkpoint located between Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

The suspects were a truck driver, 34, and his companion, 25, both of San Rafael, Bulacan.

The signature of the medical technician appearing in their antigen test results was not original, investigators said.

On the same day, the third suspect was held for presenting a scanned or photocopied antigen test result.

He works as a private employee in Laoag City.

The three were accused of falsified public documents in violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code, probers said. (tri-media report)
