SINAIT, Ilocos Sur, May 19–A Manila-based security guard who was on vacation here stoned his 80-year-old father to death due to alleged drunkenness that occurred at the outskirt of this town yesterday afternoon, police reported.
Lawmen said the victim identified as Elpidio Yadao was found unconscious in his house by responding relatives. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect quarreled his father after attending a funeral rite in the nearby town of Cabugao where he had a drinking spree with some friends.
The SOCO team found at the crime scene three fist-sized stones which were apparently used in the incident. (tsg w/ rg report)
