Narco-theft suspect slain

BATAC CITY, Aug. 29–Police chief Rodelio Santos reported that a narco-theft suspect was killed during a drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. Sumader, this city.

Chief Inspector Santos said the suspect first fired his gun at the buyer-poseur when he sensed the former who was transacting with him is a cop.

The poseur was unhurt as he wore a bullet-proof vest.

The operatives claimed they were forced to retaliate as self-defense.

Found at the suspect’s possession were sachets containing suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves, caliber .38 revolver and P500 marked money, the police report said.

The suspect, it said, was also allegedly involved in theft cases in nearby towns. (tri-media report)
