BATAC CITY (Aug. 11) – A fragmentation hand grenade abandoned on the road side was recovered in Brgy. Callaguip, this city.
SPO1 Jonel Batistiana, a bomb expert from the Explosives Ordnance Division, of the city’s police station, said that a resident of said barangay found the said grenade when he was cleaning their surroundings.
The resident immediately informed the authorities for its proper disposal.
Police advised the public to stay away from getting in contact with any explosives found and instead report it to the authorities. (tsg)
