SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, April 27, 2020–The long arm of the law caught nine suspects playing an illegal card game in the middle of the ricefield at Bry. 22, this town.
The suspects reside at Brgys. 10 and 11 but they went to a secluded farm hut in the Brgy. 22 thinking they could hide from cops’ watch, police said.
Brgy. Capt. Boyet Agustin of #10 said five of the suspects are his village mates and the four from adjacent #11.
Responding cops found at the scene pieces of evidence such as P570 betting money, poker cards, table, two cellphones, and the suspects’ personal money amounting to P3,740 cash. (tri-media report)
