Laoag bypass road may open in July?

  • The bridge is 97% finished

LAOAG CITY, May 10–Private contractor Engr. Henry Pe Manuel said that the ongoing Laoag bypass road project located on the western side of the city may be opened to motorists this coming July.

Engineer Manuel in a media interview said that the new concrete bridge as major part of the bypass road is 97% finished as of today, May 10.

The said new bridge across the Padsan River in the west will connect the newly well-paved kilometric bypass road from north to south.

The contractor blamed the delay of the project to lack of supply in steel bar and gravel and sand.
Under the contract, the project which is implemented and supervised by DPWH should be completed 100% in November this year. (tri-media report)
