MARCOS, Ilocos Norte, Dec. 27 (PIA) — The Marcos Agro-Industrial School (MAIS) here has intensified its partnership with the Toyota Motors Philippines Corporation through the Supervised Industry Training (SIT) program.
The graduates of MAIS have met the industry requirements for an intensive training in the Toyota company in Santa Rosa, Laguna after the screening process.
The management of said motor company has conducted the written examination and interview among the 32 graduates of Automotive Servicing (AS) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
Out of the 32 examinees, 18 graduates in Automotive Servicing NC II and nine in SMAW NC II made it to the training program.
“Our Industry Coordinator has been constantly coordinating with our partner industries for the SIT of our graduates, and the Toyota Motors has been regularly accommodating our qualified graduates particularly in Automotive Servicing, and only this batch that they have expanded their recruitment to Welding occupation,” said MAIS Administrator Amelito Cardenas.
This is the fourth time that MAIS is sending applicants to the SIT program as they take pride in the quality of the graduates they produce in the industrial school.
“MAIS is very grateful for the established partnership with the various industries specifically the Toyota Motor Philippines for their continuous support for the furtherance and broadening the hands-on and hearts-on experiences of our graduates,” Cardenas said.
MAIS is a technical vocational education and training institution in agro-trades and entrepreneurship development for high school graduates, out-of-school youths, and interested farmers and adults.
