SARRAT, Ilocos Norte (May 1) – Pandemonium broke loose at the public market here as a man wielding a cal. 45 pistol shot twice a woman inside an eatery, cops reported.
The victim identified by lawmen as Renalyn Acob, 28, widow, native of Cagayan province, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital due to fatal wounds in the body.
Probers led by police chief Christopher Danao said the victim was apparently cleaning an icebox inside the eatery when the assailant sprung from nowhere and pumped bullets into the victim. Initial probe showed motive might be love triangle, cops said.
