Van rams tricycle

CURRIMAO, Ilocos Norte – A 50-year-old driver was killed when his tricycle was rammed by a Toyota Grandia van here.

Due to the heavy impact, the victim Elmer Idica died on the spot. His tricycle was totally wrecked.

S/Insp. Lester Tannagan said that Idica was allegedly under the influence of liquor.

Witnesses said that they saw the victim’s tricycle moving into the lane of the van when the accident occured.

Meanwhile, 50-year-old Adelaida Udasco, of Brgy. Tabungo, Pasuquin, died due to head injuries.

Police authorities said that Ronald Castillo was driving his motorcycle when he accidentally hit the rear of the “kurong-kurong”, where the victim was riding on.

As she fell to the ground, the motorcycle of Castillo allegedly bumped her causing her death.

Castillo, a resident of Brgy. 28, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte suffered a broken arm.
