VINTAR, Ilocos Norte, April 12—Bobby Gapusan, a victim of a shooting incident, didn’t survive despite doctors’ effort to revive him due to a serious wound in the head.
Attending physicians at GRASMHospital in Laoag City declared that Gapusan breathed his last at past 8 o’clock, this morning, police said.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was vacationing in the hinterland of sitio Dimagaga, Brgy. Tamdagan, this town, where he attended earlier the wake and burial of a close relative.
Police said that at early dawn, he and his relatives were about to go swimming at nearby Bislac River when somebody threw a stone at their residence.
When they dashed outside to check the stone thrower, a gunshot rang out and the victim was shot and critically wounded.
Police remained clueless on the identities of the suspects and the motive of the slay. (tsg w/ da, nm, ad reports)
