PAOAY, Ilocos Norte, July 21 – At least nine persons were charged before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office with theft in connection with the stolen cable wires at the Malacañang of the North in Suba, this town recently.
S/Insp. Paul Benedict Parado, town’s chief of police, said that some of the suspects are residents of said barangay.
One of those involved had confessed to the theft case. The group allegedly stole the cable wires of an electric generator valued at P16,000.
Parado further said that probers solved the theft incident thru witnesses’ testimony.
The stolen cables were traced in a nearby junk shop in Laoag. (Theo S. Guiang)
