SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte, June 27—A barangay forest ranger stumbled on skeletal remains of an unidentified male person off 8-meter deep ravine along the Solsona-Apayao Road in Brgy, Manalpac, this town.
Ranger officer Augusto Ibana was looking for his missing cow when he smelled a foul odor and discovered the human skeleton last Thursday afternoon.
Police said the victim was probably killed somewhere and later dumped the body in the area as they received no recent report of missing person in Solsona and neighbouring towns.
The victim was about 5’7 to 5’9 in height, wore a gray shirt and violet short. He was later interred with decent burial at the public cemetery when no relatives came to claim his remains.(tsg/ga)
