BURGOS, Ilocos Norte (April 26) – Cape Bojeador lighthouse here served as guide by M/V Oriental Hope to stop in the high seas.
Cops said its purpose was to unload crew member Engineer Bernardo Maghari, mid-50s, who apparently had a serious ill.
Thru nautical communication, Philippine Coast Guard unit in Ilocos Norte under Lt. Dennis Rapal fetched the victim from the ship and took him ashore for emergency medical treatment en route to his hometown in Antique province.
The ship was bound for Indonesia from Japan when the victim fell ill, report said.
