Rep. RCF allocates P33M for projects

LAOAG CITY, Sept. 12–At least P33 million Philippine Development Assistance Fund from the first congressional district Office of Rep. Rodolfo C. Farinas has been allocated for various infrastructure projects in Laoag City, report said today.

The congressman’s office disclosed that the P33 million fund will finance projects such as road concreting, farm-to-market roads, canal lining and box culverts, multi-purpose buildings; repair of damaged school buildings, health centers and roofings of basketball courts.

Fifty seven projects will also be initiated in the different barangays while the senior citizens group of Brgy. Raraburan, Laoag City will get P50,000 financial assistance.

To help in the further upgrading of the newly-inaugurated P350 million Laoag City General Hospital, Congressman Farinas had pledged P1 million fund for additional medical equipment purchases.

Through the Department of Health’ special allocation, his congressional office, likewise, had earmarked an half-million-peso fund for the health center of Brgy. Barit, this city.

Laoaguenos as well as the city government under Mayor Michael V. Farinas had expressed gratitude in advance to Congressman Farinas saying these many projects, when realized, would surely redound to the general public welfare.
