A private-initiated relief drive was launched through the social networking site Facebook to help the victims of storm Yolanda get back on their feet.
In her facebook page, business owner Naomi Corpuz, whose family owns the N. Corpuz Enterprises, launched a relief drive for storm victims in partnership with Farinas bus line company. Both firms are based in Laoag City.
“You don’t have money but want to send in-kind donations to the victims of Yolanda? (Our firm) is accepting in-kind donations at (N. Corpuz’) two main branches as drop off points,” Corpuz said in her FB post.
Within minutes, the social media relief drive has been shared 100 times and generated over 100 likes from netizens.
Corpuz said the drive is in partnership with Farinas bus lines which will transport collected donations to Manila.
“I will personally deliver donations to relief centers in Metro Manila,” Corpuz said.
Preferred donations include usable clothes, canned Goods, instant noodle, rice, bottled water, medicine, first aid, clothes, blankets, tarpaulins and toiletries.
