Relatives of slain Fil-Am in Hawaii relieved over arrest of suspect

BACARRA, Ilocos Norte (Aug. 20) – The relatives of slain Hawaii immigrant Cecilia Galiza-Fiesta, native of Brgy. Pungto, this town, are grateful over report that Honolulu Police had already arrested the suspect, her husband.

Initial investigation showed that the suspect, 46, native of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, allegedly stabbed his wife, Cecilia, several times in front of their child, at their apartment in Puolo Drive, Salt Lake Honolulu, Hawaii.

The suspect was arrested near the Salt Lake Public Library.

The victim, 43, worked as housekeeper in a military hospital in Honolulu.

Honolulu police theorized jealousy as the possible motive of the killing. (tsg w/ MP, LB report)
