Pusher Gets Life

MARCOS HALL OF JUSTICE, Laoag City (Nov. 15) – A special drugs court judge has sentenced a big-time drug pusher in Laoag to life imprisonment for possession of illegal drugs called shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

Judge Philip Salvador of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 13, a court designated to try illegal drugs cases, found Virgilio Ganitano guilty of violation of Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Court records showed that Ganitano was arrested during an operation conducted by Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group.

Seized from Ganitano were10 sachets of shabu.
