Paoay mayoral bet Bobby Clemente is alive and safe

MMMH&MC, Batac City, Jan. 29–Mayoralty candidate Bobby Clemente of Paoay, Ilocos Norte spoke in live radio broadcast this evening to contradict rumor that “he died of stroke” saying it was possibly a black propaganda by his political detractors.

“I am alive contrary to rumor that I am dead,” said Bobby Clemente, former municipal administrator, who is again running for mayor of Paoay, a post which he occupied for three terms. His wife Hon. Dolores Clemente is the incumbent first-term mayor.

In his bedside at Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital & Medical Center here, Bobby Clemente explained that doctors confined him at the hospital due to pneumonia.

He said he voluntarily went to the hospital for checkup earlier when he was not feeling well. There, x-ray finding showed he had symptom of pneumonia, hence, he said he needed medical treatment and short rest.(tsg w/ rj report)
