P2M earmarked for Anti-PAGs Task Force

LAOAG CITY – More than P2 million funds were allocated by the provincial government to finance the anti-Private Armed Groups task force, Provincial Administrator and concurrent chairman of the task force Atty. Windell Chua said.
“The P2,164,960 will be utilized for the administrative expenses,” Chua said.

He said that the fund will be used to purchase additional computers, equipment and other communication facilities necessary for the effective performance of the task force.

In a report by P/Supt. Reynaldo Tamundong of INPPO, the task force had successfully confiscated more than a hundred loose firearms, and that at least 16 most wanted persons in Ilocos Norte were either arrested or surrendered. He added that the task force had placed more than 30 suspects in the “watch list.”
