OIC Agpaoa fuming mad as eng’g gas pilferage cases rise

Officer in charge Fred Agpaoa of the city engineer’s office in Laoag City was fuming mad at his casual employees who were involved in the series of gas pilferage cases.

Agpaoa spoke to reporters Wednesday, Jan. 21 and vowed to recommend for summary dismissal from the service those involved in the gas pilferage incidents.

“Perhaps, these people have long been doing this (pilferage). It’s a big slap in my department. I will recommend them to be fired from their job,” said OIC Agpaoa.

Lately, Supt. Jeffrey Gorospe, police chief, said his operatives arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 20 a city heavy equipment operator, who connived with a tricycle driver to sell five gallons of gasoline valued at more than P5,000 intended for the city engineering trucks.

Earlier, two other engineering truck drivers were suspended by the city government after they were found guilty of gas supply pilferage.(tsg w/ kl report)
