The weeklong fair, which is set from July 30 to August 3, will feature science and technology exhibits, technology fora, interactive and interactive exhibits to portray science principles at work.
On the first two days of the event, topics to be discussed in the fora are innovation about brown rice, complementary baby foods, dragon fruit processing and delaying the ripening of saba banana for banana chips producers.
For its third and fourth day, new discoveries will be tackled like automated hot water treatment for mangoes, bamboo veneer, finger jointing technologies, refrigerant recovery machine and plastic densifier.
While on the last day, DOST will hold a fora on climate change mitigation and adaptation and disaster prevention and hazard mitigation.
There will also be bazaars composed of small and medium enterprises that were assisted by DOST. The fair is open to the public.
The week-long event will be participated in by DOST Councils and Institutes, Partner Agencies, Academe, Small and Medium Enterprises and other Science and Technology stakeholders. (ANL/CDG-PIA 1 Ilocos Norte)
