Provincial board member Mariano “Nonong” Marcos II, chairman in the committee on education, has welcomed the creation of Provincial Education Department in Ilocos Norte.
He said that the creation of P.E.D. is in line with Gov. Imee Marcos’ agenda to improve the quality of education in the province.
He added that it is paramount to bolster the province’s education program since the Department of Education cannot sufficiently provide all the necessary needs of every public school.
Educator Jeanette Dialz, who won the Metrobank “Best Teacher” award, will head the newly-created provincial education department.
