LAOAG CITY, July 30–Police declared no foul play on the sudden death of Dr. Jesus Balicanta Tomas, whose body was found in his bedroom.
Dr. Tomas, 69, a retired government physician, was alone in his house at Brgy. 9 of this city at the time of his death.
Investigation showed that the doctor’s namesake son went to visit his father in their family house at Brgy. 9 upon his arrival from Hawaii. He was accompanied by some relatives.
They were shocked to find his father already dead inside his bedroom.
City health officer Dr. Renato Mateo, who examined the body, said Dr. Tomas succumbed to a cerebral vascular accident or stroke.
The victim had died about eight hours ago when the cadaver was discovered, Dr. Mateo added. (tri-media report)
