NFA INL marks Nutrition Month

NFA INL Family has joined together in celebrating 2014 Nutrition Month through a tree-planting activity held last July 11, 2014. The employees planted forty (40) fruit-bearing tree seedlings around the vicinity of Dingras Duplex Warehouse located at Brgy. Saludares, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.

The National Food Authority Branch celebrated this Nutrition Month via tree-planting activity in line with this year’s theme “KALAMIDAD PAGHANDAAN: GUTOM AT MALNUTRISYON AGAPAN!”

Sad to say that during the past years, natural calamities such as typhoons, floods, landslides and earthquakes have left our nation in devastation and despair. It is believed that climate change was the culprit behind all these disasters.

This year, the NFA INL Family, inspired to make a positive change for Mother Earth, left all the computer/paper works at the office and spent a day outdoor to plant seedlings of fruit-bearing trees as well as clean the surroundings at the Dingras Warehouse.

It may not be that great, but it was a day well-spent and productive as everyone was able to commune with nature and somehow made a unique difference for the NFA INL Family. (Ruby Jean B. Calapini, correspondent)
