SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte (Feb. 17) – A 26-year-old male nurse from Baguio City was robbed by an unidentified man of  this town.

Police said the victim identified as Clifford Pacio was waiting for a ride along the national highway in this town when a man in motorcycle offered him a ride to Laoag City.

Sensing that the man posed no threat, he accepted the offer. However, when they stopped to pee, he suddenly grabbed the bag of Pacio and drove away.

Pacio immediately went to San Nicolas Police station to report the robbery incident.

He said that his bag contains important documents, 3 cellphones, check book and a wallet with 7,000 pesos cash.

Police said that they conducted a pursuit operation and  hunted a blue-colored XRM motorcycle, believed to be the suspect’s vehicle  used in the crime.

Police said it was  the second robbery incident this year in this town.  (Theo S. Guiang)
