Motorbike hits baby cow

BANNA, Ilocos Norte, Jan. 9– Samantha Lampitoc, 20, and Richelle Anne Castillo, 17, both of Brgy.Caribquib, of this town, were hospitalized due to injuries after their motorcycle they were riding in accidentally bumped an infant cow that suddenly crossed their path in the national highways of said barangay yesterday.

Senior Inspector Artemio Clemente, town police chief, said the two victims, wearing no crash helmets, were thrown from their motorcycle driven by Lampitoc when it rammed the cow on the loose.

Clemente told reporters that the baby cow, owned by Ferdinand Saguiguit of the same place, got separated from her mother cow and went wild towards the national road.

The baby cow sustained minor injuries and now in stable condition.(theo s. guiang)
