MARCOS, Ilocos Norte (April 25) – A municipal employee of Dingras, Ilocos Norte was held for questioning when police found a cal. 45 pistol in his possession during a checkpoint operation in Brgy. Imelda, this town.
When grilled by police, the gun holder, an alleged driver-bodyguard of Dingras Mayor Erdio Valenzuela, showed a copy of his firearm license.
Investigators said, however, that the suspect has no permit to carry his gun outside residence, which is a violation of the law.
