Mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas has belittled a rumor that some city utility workers were doing household chores during office hours at their private residence in Brgy. Vira, of this city.
Fariñas said that some people may have mistakenly seen that those city employees who used to go to their residence to bring documents for her urgent signature or that of her husband, Laoag vice mayor Michael V. Fariñas were rendering household chores.
She cited one instance wherein her immediate approval was needed for the use of the city government’s ambulances.
Fariñas said that she could not fathom the motive of some detractors. (Theo S. Guiang)
