LAOAG CITY – Presidential bet Grace Poe has the political support of the mango growers in Ilocos Norte and the whole Region 1.
This was evident by their presence during the campaign sortie of Senator Poe in the province of Ilocos Norte.
Ricardo Tolentino, known as Mango King and perennial national awardee for his endless effort of championing the mango industry in the country, said that they are supporting the candidacy of Poe.
He said that they chose Poe since they looked at her as a leader who has not been tainted with corruption.
“We see her as a new leader who can institute reform in our government which had been marred with corruption and controversies in the past”, Tolentino added.
Poe’s campaign sortie in the province also includes a visit at the Batac City Public Market, Mariano Marcos State University, and at Paoay Sand Dunes, where “Ang Panday” statue of the late Fernando Poe Jr. stood. FPJ filmed the movie in that desert-like terrain.(tsg)
