Mango farm worker dies from 24 stab wounds

LAOAG CITY (Feb. 18) – The lifeless body of 24-year-old Eduardo Manuel was found lying in a pool of blood after he was allegedly stabbed to death by his co-worker in Brgy. 6, this city, Wednesday night.
Police identified the suspect as Resty Bangalan, native of Pamplona, Cagayan and alleged former member of the Sigue-Sigue gang in Manila.

Both the suspect and the victim were employed mango sprayers at the Ricardo Tolentino mango plantation in the province.

Investigators theorized that personal grudge was the motive behind the stabbing incident. The suspect claimed the victim bullied him many times in past days.

The victim succumbed to 24 stab wounds in various parts of his body.
