Laoag City offers free circumcision this summer

LAOAG CITY, April 14 (PIA) – The Laoag City government will offer free circumcision next month as part of its public service this summer season.

According to Dr. Francis Manolito Dacuycuy, Laoag City General Hospital (LCGH) chief, the “Kugit Bulilit” (children’s circumcision) is an annual program that caters to boys age four and above.

“Summer time is the best time for boys to have their circumcision, just in time for the wounds to heal before school openings,” Dacuycuy said.

He said the city government provides circumcision service to 250 children every year.

The service is provided jointly by the LCGH, City Health Office (CHO), the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC). (MCA/Edessa Dana Salacup, PIA1-Ilocos Norte, OJT)
