Joint AFP-Guam Mission

The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Guam National Guards, in cooperation with the Laoag City government, conducted a very successful two-day Medical and Dental Mission in Brgy. La Paz and Gabu on September 4 and 5 respectively.

Lt. Col. Hoa Nguyen, head of the Guam National Guard, and Major General Jovencio V. Magalso of the AFP, led their respective teams in serving 2,994 indigent patients from 14 adjacent barangays.

Other ranking officials present during the closing ceremonies in Gabu include Col. Walter Perez and Lt. Col. Gerson Valles of the Guam Army National Guard, Col. Essel C. Soriano and Col. Eduardo Collada of the 503rd Brigade, Col. Ma. Imelda Dalupang of the Northern Luzon Command, Col. Ismael V. Tumaru and Lt. Col. Amador Magdamit of the AFP Reserve Command, Col. Marlo Chan, Provincial Director of Ilocos Norte, and Lt. Col. Sterling Blanco, PNP Chief of Laoag City.

An appreciation dinner was tendered by the Laoag City government on the eve of September 5, 2010.
