Intensify Drive vs. Loose Firearms — Gov. Marcos

LAOAG CITY (September l5) – Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos has ordered the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office headed by provincial director Sr. Supt. Marlou Chan to intensify its campaign against the proliferation of loose firearms.

During yesterday’s provincial Peace and Order Meeting held at the provincial capitol here attended by PNP, military and PDEA as well as local officials, Marcos pointed out that there would be “no victim of gunshot if there is no loose firearm.”

She challenged the the law enforcers and LGUs to work hard to make the province peaceful and safe at all times.

She added that police troopers should also conduct regular random checkpoints activities in various municipalities as part of the anti-loose firearms drive.
