LAOAG CITY–INEC acting general manager Engr. Felino Herbert Agdigos reported that the electric coop is now operating a new 10- MV substation in Barangay 1, this city.
Agdigos said that the substation would augment the present capacity of the coop technical operation due to the increased load requirement of this city.
He clarified reports that the coop has no plan to increase its current electricity rate as a result of the operation of this substation.
Agdigos further said that the new 10 MVA substation will not only serve Brgy. Uno but also the nearby barangays here. The substation is paramount especially that a new big shopping mall may be put up soon near the Laoag City General Hospital in Brgy Nalbo, this city, INEC sources said.
