“I’m ready to face probe”, says PO1 Catolico

PIDDIG, Ilocos Norte, June 27–Beleaguered Police Officer 1 Dennis Catolico said he is ready to face investigation in connection with the recent report that he allegedly fired his service firearms indiscriminately in Brgy. Abucay, this town. 

An informant said the policeman had a quarrel with his live-in partner inside a “Dap-ayan” when he allegedly fired his gun several times.

Responding cops said they recovered at least seven empty shells for bullets of caliber .9mm pistol at the scene.

So far, no witnesses had given a verbal or written testimony to support the allegation against PO1 Catolico.

Meanwhile, police provincial director S/Supt. Antonio Mendoza Jr. said the PNP regional office in La Union will give its final verdict on the Catolico case based on the result of probe to be submitted by INPPO.(jg/al)
