MARCOS HALL OF JUSTICE, Laoag City, July 21–Court employees here wore black shirts and red ribbons to show their support to the Supreme Court in its recent decision declaring President Aquino’s Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) as unconstitutional.
Lawyer Zaldy dela Cruz, chief of the Office of Clerks of Court (OCC) here, said it was one way to show their all-out support to the SC against Malacanang attack. They also protest the move to scrap their existing financial benefits as an offshoot of the SC verdict against DAP.
Court hearings and office works went on normally amid the silent protest.(edg)
