SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte – At least 212.7 board feet of suspected illegally cut narra lumbers were confiscated by police operatives at the river banks off Labogaon river in this town.
Chief of Police Arnel Tabaog said his station received a call from a concerned individual and tipped off that some illegally cut narra lumber were being transported clandestinely in the area.
Tabaog said that he personally led a team and arrested one of the suspects, a certain Ben Inciong, a resident of Barangay Maan-anteng of same town. His cohorts fled when they noticed the approaching lawmen.
